“Rising Superstar” Choo Young-woo to Appear at ASEA 2025 Presented by ZOZOTOWN

Actor Choo Young-woo is officially set to shine at ASEA 2025 Presented by ZOZOTOWN, the global celebration where music, stars, and fans come together as one.

The Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025 (ASEA 2025) will take place on May 28 and 29 at K-Arena Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan. The ASEA Organizing Committee announced Choo Young-woo’s confirmed appearance on April 2.

Since his acting debut in 2021, Choo Young-woo has steadily made his mark through notable roles in dramas such as KBS2’s “Police University” and “School 2021”, tvN’s “Babel Syndrome”, Kakao TV’s “Once Upon a Small Town”, and KBS2’s “Oasis.” His versatile performances have consistently showcased his charm and acting range.

In particular, he received praise for his dual-role performance in the JTBC drama “The Tale of Mrs. Ok,” portraying both Jeon Seung-hwi and Sung Yoon-gyeom, proving himself as a rare talent capable of pulling off a one-man, two-characters role. He further cemented his breakout status by starring as Yang Jae-won in Netflix’s global hit “Trauma Center,” which topped charts worldwide and earned critical acclaim.

Following back-to-back hits, Choo has become a trusted name in the entertainment world, and is now one of the most sought-after figures in advertising and fashion.

Currently recognized as one of the most promising rising stars of his generation, Choo Young-woo will continue his momentum in 2024 with roles in the upcoming Netflix series “The Square” and tvN’s “Gyeonwoo and the Fairy.”

Now in its second year, ASEA is a major music awards ceremony that unites top Asian artists and fans across the globe. The inaugural event in April 2024 featured a star-studded lineup including Stray Kids (triple award winner including Daesang), TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), DAY6, TREASURE, TAEMIN of SHINee, and Creepy Nuts, among others—drawing massive attention from fans worldwide.

ASEA 2025 will once again feature spectacular performances by top-tier K-pop artists and Asia’s leading music acts who have achieved significant success over the past year. The confirmed lineup (in alphabetical order) includes:
aespa, ATARASHII GAKKO!, &TEAM, BADVILLAIN, ENHYPEN, HANA, Hearts2Hearts, KiiiKiii, NCT WISH, NEXZ, NiziU, n.SSign, SAKURAZAKA46, SKY-HI, THE BOYZ, THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE, timelesz, and Xdinary Heroes.

The MCs for Day 1 (May 28) will be Juyeon of THE BOYZ and REI of IVE, while actor Jang Keun-suk will serve as the Daesang presenter. Day 2 (May 29) will be hosted by actress Kim Hye-yoon and Younghoon of THE BOYZ.

ASEA 2025 Presented by ZOZOTOWN is hosted by NEWSEN, Korea’s leading entertainment & sports news media celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and @style, a star & lifestyle magazine marking its 13th anniversary. The event is organized by The Star E&M, the ASEA Organizing Committee, and ZOZOTOWN.
