Lee Junho and Go Younjung are set to attend 'ASEA 2026.'
On March 18, the organizing committee for the 3rd Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2026 (ASEA 2026)—a music festival where top-class artists representing Asia gather in one place—announced that singer-actor Lee Junho and actress Go Younjung have confirmed their attendance. The ceremony will be held on May 16 and 17 at the Belluna Dome in Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
Lee Junho, who debuted as a member of 2PM in 2008 and swept the music industry, expanded his horizons into acting starting with the 2013 film Cold Eyes. Now recognized as a representative multi-entertainer in the industry, he has achieved four consecutive box-office hits with MBC's The Red Sleeve, JTBC's King the Land, tvN's Typhoon Company, and Netflix's Cashero, solidifying his status as a "guaranteed hitmaker." Recently, major global media outlets, including the American business magazine Forbes, have spotlighted his achievements, proving his immense global influence.
Having established himself as a world-class actor, Lee Junho continues his busy schedule this year to meet fans more closely. He will reach global viewers through the Netflix variety show Kian's Bizarre B&B 2 and is scheduled to meet fans at a solo concert in May commemorating 2PM's 15th anniversary of their Japanese debut. Amidst this, Lee Junho plans to offer fans a different kind of joy by appearing as a presenter on the stage of this music festival where top-tier Asian artists gather.
Another trending star, Go Younjung, has also confirmed her appearance at 'ASEA 2026.' After making her official debut in 2019 with tvN's He Is Psychometric, she began to draw attention for her pure beauty and unique aura. Since then, she has steadily built her acting skills and intense presence through numerous works, including Netflix series Sweet Home and The School Nurse Files, JTBC's Law School, tvN's Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow, TVING's Death's Game, Disney+ Originals Light Shop and Moving, tvN's Resident Playbook, and the film Hunt. She has grown into one of the most spotlighted actresses of the current era.
In particular, Go Younjung, who captured the hearts of global viewers by multidimensionally portraying top star Cha Mu-hee in the Netflix series Can This Love Be Translated? released in January, is signaling another powerful acting transformation in the new JTBC drama Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness, scheduled for release in April. High expectations are focused on the powerful presence she will radiate on stage amidst the warm welcome of fans worldwide.
Launched in 2024, ASEA has established itself as a global awards ceremony that carefully selects and honors artists with worldwide influence while delivering high-quality performances. This year, top-tier artists who have achieved significant results over the past year will participate to showcase spectacular stages. ATEEZ, &TEAM, ENHYPEN, Hearts2Hearts, and xikers (in alphabetical order) have already been confirmed to appear. Additionally, MONSTA X’s Hyungwon and IVE’s Rei will serve as MCs for the first day.
ASEA 2026 is hosted by Newsen, Korea's leading entertainment and sports media outlet, and AtStar1 (@style), a star and style magazine, and is organized by the ASEA Organizing Committee.
Further details regarding the artist lineup, award categories, and judging criteria will be announced sequentially through the official website. Meanwhile, ticket reservations began on the 16th, with details available on the official Japanese website.
