Actors Lee Sungkyoung and Lee Chaemin are set to attend 'ASEA 2026.'

On April 7, the organizing committee for the 3rd Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2026 (ASEA 2026)—a global music festival bringing together Asia's top-class artists—announced that Lee Sungkyoung and Lee Chaemin have confirmed their participation. The event will take place on May 16 and 17 at the Belluna Dome in Saitama Prefecture, Japan.

Lee Sungkyoung will lead the ceremony as the MC for the second day of 'ASEA 2026' on May 17. Having debuted as a model through the 2008 SBS Supermodel Contest, she began her professional acting career in the 2014 drama It's Okay, That's Love, drawing attention for her stable acting and unique character-building. She later solidified her position as a leading lady with Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo and received immense love for her role in the Dr. Romantic series. Most recently, she led the drama In Your Splendid Season with a detailed and powerful performance.

Renowned for her exceptional singing ability, Lee Sungkyoung has also expanded into musicals, proving her versatility as an all-around entertainer. Having already showcased smooth hosting skills at various award ceremonies, expectations are high for her performance at 'ASEA 2026.' The K-pop top star who will co-host alongside Lee Sungkyoung is scheduled to be revealed on April 27.

Lee Chaemin, currently one of the most spotlighted rising stars of the next generation, will also make his first appearance at 'ASEA 2026.' An acting major from the Korea National University of Arts, Lee Chaemin left a deep impression from his debut work High Class in 2021. Since then, he has steadily built his filmography and displayed various charms through works such as Crash Course in Romance, See You in My 19th Life, and Hierarchy.

In particular, he rose to stardom last year by multidimensionally portraying the tyrant Yi Heon, who possesses an absolute sense of taste, in The Tyrant's Chef. In the subsequently released Cashero, he took on a villainous role—someone who stops at nothing to get what they want—proving his wide acting spectrum and versatile face.

Launched in 2024, ASEA has established itself as a global awards ceremony that honors artists with significant worldwide influence and presents high-level performances. This year’s star-studded lineup includes ATEEZ, &TEAM, ENHYPEN, Hearts2Hearts, IDID, KWON EUNBI, NOWZ, THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE, VVUP, WONHO, and xikers (in alphabetical order). MONSTA X’s Hyungwon and IVE’s Rei will serve as Day 1 MCs, while singer-actors Lee Junho and Go Youn-jung are also confirmed to attend.
